Children and teens may experience anxiety about various different school-related issues: Will my friend be in my class? What if I miss the bus? Who will I sit with at lunch? Although avoiding school might offer immediate relief from anxiety, it usually makes anxiety worse in the long term. If you or your child are feeling anxious about school, reach out to your teacher or guidance counsellor for support.
