Gender Sexuality Alliance
The Gender Sexuality Alliance meets every Thursday at lunch in Room 302.

The goal for the group is to change the tone of the school in terms of LGTBA2Q+ awareness, stereotypes, and prejudices. We welcome all students, including heterosexual allies.

We are currently running a pilot version of the “Healthy Relationships Program for LGBTQ+”. It is designed to build strengths, resilience and coping skills and to support youth empowerment. We address issues that affect all teenagers, like:

  • recognizing unhealthy relationships,
  • values and boundaries,
  • conflict resolution,
  • substance abuse,
  • mental health,
  • dating violence.

As well as issues that are specific to the LGBTQ+ Community, like:

  • stereotypes,
  • discrimination,
  • being an ally.

OSAID meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month in Room 223 with Mrs. Durand and Mrs. Durnin.

Prom Committee
Starting second semester, the Prom Committee meets every Friday at lunch in Room 122 to plan for the  prom. This year’s prom will be held on June 6, 2019 and promises to be the best one yet. Contact Mrs. Melady for more information.
